Reason for the delay

Thu Oct 22, 2009, 8:47 AM
Hi,

Quick post, just wanted to let everyone know why there has been a dealy.

I came down with the flu and it layed me up for a month. I am now recovering and packing up the first comissions. I expect that all commissions, except the chess sets will be completed by mid novemember or earlier.

I am sorry for the delay. This flu was really hard and it made working impossible.

I hope you can all understand. I hate getting behind in work.

Thank you all for your continued patience.

Hi,

Just wanted to update the list:

The first three commissions are at last complete :) Yay!

Anyway, glossing over that girlish squeal of delight, I am moving right along to the next commission in line.

Working Full Steam

Mon Aug 17, 2009, 3:01 PM
Hello,

To let everyone know, I had to take a break from working for the past week or so. I had a very important appointment and it required all of my attention. Now that the appointment has been met I am back to work full time. :D

An update on the list:

The first commission is fully sculpted. I will be starting on the paint tomorrow.

I also, in a desire to speed things up, decided to sculpt all the Castle Crashers at the same time. I have now made 13 Castle Crashers characters. They will all be painted and shipped out soon.

I will be posting picutres of the works in progress tonight :)

Otakon

Wed Jul 22, 2009, 8:25 AM
Hi!

Well, the Artist Alley and Otakon are done for the year :) I wanted to give a big thanks to everyone who stopped by our table to check out my work. So, here goes, Thanks! Anyway, this Artist Alley is probably the best one I have been to. I met a lot of great people and a lot of really talented artists.

With the exception of a few Otakon Staff who I wish would not have been so rude and condescending to me and my family. Which is not to say all the staff were like that. There were quite a few who were extremely helpful. Barring those instances everyone else made this a fun event.

I got a lot of commissions this year and I'll be starting work on them today. Had to wait for clay. Came home and found that I was out of every last bit of clay that I needed lol I feel stupid...

I will also be posting pictures of all the new figures that were displayed during the Artist Alley. Such as Big Daddy, Ridley vs. Samus, Jack Cayman, and Heartless Riku. Along with those pictures will be a few from the Alley itself. Pictures of the table display and such.

To all those that have ordered from me I will be posting the list as a comment on this Journal entry. I compiled it in the order it was received.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. My Will O' the Wisp was entered in the Figure contest this year. I did not expect him to win anything but when we came back from the Dealers Room I found that he had been awarded a sort of honor. There were no categories for scratch built figures in the contest (so naturally I couldn't really win anything) but they said they were very impressed by my work (made me really happy!) they awarded me Honorable Mention. They will also be adding a category for scratch built figures from now on :) The judges also awarded me with an Evangelion Model kit, one of the big ones :D and a really nice Garage Kit and figure Book. It features a lot of Bome work in it.

All in all a great con.

Eighty-eight miles per hour!

Mon Jul 13, 2009, 3:59 AM
Well, I wanted to put "We got one!" as the title. You know, in homage to Ghostbusters, when they get their first job, but my sister already took that one. So, here is my movie quote. Anyway, we now have a table for the Otakon. Thank goodness.

That was one long headache lol. Anyway, I know I keep promising to post new pictures but what with the Otakon coming up I probably won't have the time. I'll be working around the clock to finish the following figures.

Miniature:

Jack Cayman-Madworld-Wii

Ichigo and Hollowmask Bankai-Bleach

Full Hollow Ichigo-Bleach

Halibel-Bleach

Zero-Code Geass

Big Daddy and little sister-Bioshock

Byakuya Bankai-Bleach

Large Figures:

Heartless Riku-Kingdom Hearts

Meta Ridley-to be combined on the same base with Samus Aran, hence her shooting pose :)-Metroid

Other Stuff:

finish up some charms and necklaces

Whew, that is a long list.

Better get to work now and thanks to everyone for their kind words :)
